Dennis Freese is a multi-reed and flute instrumentalist, a singer, composer, and ethnomusicologist. He's performed with many well known World Beat musicians from West Africa, Central and South America, Western Europe, and Asia. He’s currently recording his sixth album (his third album of original music), and works regularly as a session musician, playing many types of music on various winds. He has also performed in many theatre settings including (locally): Camelot Theatre Company, Oregon Cabaret Theatre, and in multiple Oregon Shakespeare Festival productions, as well as performing as a soloist at a number of senior home venues, giving presentations about the lives and music of the composing greats of the American Songbook (Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, E.Y. Harburg, The Gershwins, etc.). Dennis is also a school volunteer, and a darn good private music instructor (saxes, clarinets, flutes).
As a composer, performer, teacher, recording artist, and music historian, his pursuit has remained one pointed... The expression of love through the musical arts.
