He has also performed in many theatre settings including (locally): Camelot Theatre Company, Oregon Cabaret Theatre, and in multiple Oregon Shakespeare Festival productions, as well as performing as a soloist at a number of senior home venues, giving presentations about the lives and music of the composing greats of the American Songbook (Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, E.Y. Harburg, The Gershwins, etc.). Dennis is also a school volunteer, and a darn good private music instructor (saxes, clarinets, flutes).

As a composer, performer, teacher, recording artist, and music historian, his pursuit has remained one pointed… The expression of love through the musical arts.
